I love getting to know people through the books they've read. I just talked about books with a friend the other day, and I'm adding a couple to my list.

There are only five days and five nights separating me from being in Manila with the people I love. But coming home this year is going to be different from the other times I've come home. It won't be the relief it usually is. It will actually be like coming home, because despite the fact that I've enjoyed Sydney more than any other place I have ever been to, I'm going home because that's where my heart is.

Ever notice how we tend to highlight the similarities with people we would so much like to know, but ignore similarities with people we don't?
